Snoop Dogg gives the scoop on who he thinks could play him in a biopic
Although we may not see Snoop's life story depicted in multiple films, at least one of the major moments in his life could be covered in a biopic.
To be completely honest, a Snoop Dogg movie doesn't seem farfetched given how much the legendary rapper has been able to accomplish throughout his career in the entertainment industry. Although we may not see Snoop's life story depicted in multiple films, at least one of the major moments in his life could be covered in a biopic. On Monday, he spoke with the Associated Press about whether or not there is an actor out there that can really encapsulate the Doggfather's persona on the big screen.
"There's so many dope actors that have graced the screen and there's so many dope actors that have yet to grace the screen, Snoop tells the AP. " I don't know who could play me. It would have to be someone who could win me over."

He further goes on to say that an actor like Jamie Foxx who has a great range of comedy and drama acting credits—and was able to portray Ray Charles— could be a good fit.
"When I think of someone playing you, I think of how Jamie Foxx played Ray," he said. "That was like spot on. So I would have to find me a Jamie Foxx or someone that could actually become Snoop Dogg on screen and give me all of that element. And I don't know if that person is out there or has yet to be discovered. But when I get to that point, I'ma find him."
It is quite evident that Snoop is on the lookout for someone who can portray his likeness, even if it is somebody who isn't that prominent in Hollywood. When it comes to seeing when the biopic could come to fruition, that is still up in the air. In 2018, Snoop did tease working with Lee Daniels and Black Panther director, Ryan Coogler to develop his idea for a movie, further exploring the potential to flesh out his life in a miniseries. Should this happen, it could prove to be a very interesting show for fans.
