Republicans’ confusion over the Paris Agreement would be funny if it wasn't so sad

It was a promising sign from the new president, showing a serious commitment to reducing America's carbon emissions, which are second only to China.
But, as you would expect, not everyone was happy about this move to tackle the very real, very immediate climate crisis. But what you might not expect is the reasoning behind the disapproval.
Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert - who has voiced support for QAnon - introduced the "Paris Agreement Constitutional Treaty Act", the idea being to block funding for Biden's executive order.
So what is her problem with the Paris Agreement? According to the gun-rights activist, she works "for the people of Pueblo, not the people of Paris".

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Even sadder is the fact that 11 fellow Republican House members co-sponsored the bill.
Perhaps the Colorado congresswoman was joking, or perhaps she really thinks the agreement is just for Paris, rather than a legally binding international treaty on climate change.
Unfortunately, Boebert isn't the first to make this 'mistake'. Senator Ted Cruz, a fellow Republican, tweeted a similar message this week, saying: "By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans."
Do they also think that the Camp David Accords are limited to what takes place in Maryland? Or that The Oslo Accords just apply to The Tiger City?
Somehow I think not. Or at least I hope not.
